Four More WCS Students Ace the ACT
Published April 25, 2014
Four juniors, three from Brentwood High and one from Ravenwood, are the latest Williamson County students to join an elite crowd by scoring a perfect 36 on their ACT exams.
BHS students Christopher Cortez, Pawel Durakiewicz and Waqqas Fazili aced the test in March, as did Ravenwood's Gene Li. The accomplishment puts them among less than one-tenth of one percent of students taking the ACT nationally who receive a top score.
The ACT exam assesses students' academic readiness for college and consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36, and a student's composite score is the average of the four test scores.
The four are not the only WCS students to ace the test in March. Page High School Junior Michael Lee got a 36 as well. Lee was featured in the April 11 issue of InFocus.
