Changes to Report Card Distribution
Published May 9, 2014
We have an important notice for parents of students in grades 3-5. Report cards for these students will be mailed home instead of given to students on their last day of school. This change is due to the late release of TCAP results. The district plans to have the report cards placed in the mail no later than Friday, May 23.
"Typically, teachers and administrators have received TCAP scores from the State in time to complete the report cards for distribution to students on the last day of school," said WCS Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools Denise Goodwin. "However, this year due to our later than usual TCAP administration, time prohibits completion of cards for last day delivery. It is unfortunate and we know our students and parents will be disappointed. However, all elementary schools will mail cards by May 23 and hopefully our students and parents will receive their cards no later than May 27."
Once again, this change will only affect students in grades 3-5.
