Brentwood High Locker Room Gets a Makeover

The Brentwood High School men's basketball locker room has a new vibe following a complete renovation. John Maher Builders recently teamed up with BHS parents Linda Bautista and Sally Schumpert to design new lockers that are similar to those used by professional athletes.
The lockers are constructed of pre-finished, three-quarter-inch maple plywood with solid-wood edge banding. The lockers also feature chrome hanging rods and coat hooks and bench seating with storage underneath.
Two local businesses, 3TLP and Jarvis Signs, also contributed to the project through the donation of time and services. Students, parents and other community members helped support the efforts through fundraising and planning.
“It was truly the hard work of many people that made this all come together in such a tremendous way,” said Bautista. “The kindness of this community made such a difference. We are so thankful to the many generous individuals and local businesses that made this possible.”
John Maher Builders took part in a comparable renovation of the Lady Bruins’ basketball locker room eight years ago. The locker room renovations are just a portion of the projects the company has made possible for the school over the past 10 years. Additional projects include installation of dugouts and construction of a press box for the soccer field, renovation of the football field press box and construction of a dual shot put platform and adjacent rings.
“I would be the first to tell you that our student athletes feel a sincere sense of gratitude for the projects that have been donated to them throughout the years,” said Seigenthaler. “Many projects are started for the benefit of students to come. It is a gift that keeps on giving.”
Maher was also a member of the inaugural Williamson County Schools Ambassador program. The program launched in 2013 to further the partnership between schools and the community. The ambassadorship inspired Maher to donate funds earlier this year to provide bus transportation for Brentwood High School athletes in partnership with Carpenter Bus of Franklin.
