Board Sets Zoning Parameters for New Nolensville Schools

Published March 28, 2014

At its March 24 meeting, the Williamson County School Board determined zoning parameters for Mill Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Middle and Nolensville High. All three schools will be located on one campus in the Nolensville area. The group instructed staff to:

  • Plan for opening Nolensville High with freshmen and sophomores only.
  • Establish zones for the new schools with growth in mind.
  • Plan to minimize future rezoning in the area, with the zoning plan to last for three to five years.
  • Plan for efficient bus routes lasting less than one hour each way.
  • Do not base zoning on city limit lines or zip codes.

The design teams for each school are moving forward with the goal of having each ready for bidding in early spring of 2014. All three schools are scheduled for completion in fall 2016.
