Below is a list of recent accomplishments by Williamson County students and staff in the areas of academics, athletics and the arts. They are listed in alphabetical order according to school.
Centennial Dance Team Qualifies for National Competition
Congratulations to the Centennial High School Dance Team on a great performance at Summer Dance Camp. They received a 1st Place Home Routine trophy and a Superior UDA trophy. This qualifies the team for National Competition.
Fairview Middle Golfer Sets New School Record
Fairview Middle School sixth grader Charlie Scheuermann has done something no other golfer at the school can claim: he shot a record low score of 25 at the season opener in Centerville. His coach is Jason Nash.
Franklin High Percussion Ensemble Invited to Perform at TMEA State Conference
The Franklin High School Percussion Ensemble received a big honor recently when they were invited to perform at the 2014 Tennessee Music Education Association State Conference in Memphis. TMEA is the mostly highly attended state conference for K-12 music educators. This year's conference will be held April 9-12. The Franklin High School Percussion Ensemble is directed by Michael Holland.
Franklin High Students Win 4-H Competition
Two Franklin High School seniors won first place in the annual state project competitions during Tennessee State 4-H Roundup held this summer at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Kelly Burgess won first place in the clothing and textiles competition, and Victoria Schweer won first place in photography.

Franklin High School Senior Named Miss Teen Tennessee Latina 2013
Franklin High School Senior Daniela Martinez was crowned Miss Teen Tennessee Latina 2013 at the state pageant in May. Martinez is a member of the National Honors Society and the French and English Honors Society, and is a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.
The Mission of the Miss Teen Tennessee Latina is to empower women of Latin and Hispanic origin living in Tennessee. The Miss Teen Tennessee Latina competition is the preliminary to the national Miss Teen US Latina pageant.
Franklin High Teacher Elected to Prestigious Post
Franklin High School Teacher Mark Saltamachia has been elected the 2013-14 President of the Tennessee Educational Theatre Association.
The Tennessee Educational Theatre Association is the official state organization for the International Thespian Society and the Educational Theatre Association. The purpose of the organization is to promote and encourage the development of theatre and theatre education throughout Tennessee.
