Bethesda Elementary - Taylor Sampson

Ten year-old Taylor Sampson knows what it takes to be a model student. The Bethesda Elementary School fifth grader is a hard-working, compassionate student who takes his education seriously. That's why administrators at Bethesda recently selected Taylor as the school's Academic All-Star.

According to his teachers, Taylor is a good leader who always participates in class, engages in collaborative discussion and encourages others. In short - Taylor is the kind of student any teacher would be thrilled to have in class.

As for Taylor, much of his success in the classroom can be attributed to his teachers, who he says have a positive attitude and encourage students to ask question.

Taylor's favorite subjects are reading and art. When he's not in school, Taylor loves to use his artistic talents to draw comic book characters and cartoons. He also hopes to one day be a doctor, an idea that came to him during a recent field trip to Junior Achievement's BizTown.

"I worked in the medical office at BizTown," said Taylor. "I really enjoy working with microscopes and looking at X-rays."

No matter what profession Taylor chooses, teachers at Bethesda say he's sure to see success if he continues to work hard, stay positive and give his all each and every day.
