WCS to Offer Student Registration Online

Published May 17, 2013

Williamson County Schools will offer an online student registration and data validation system for the 2013-14 school year.

The system is a secure and green process, which allows the district to collect all new student demographic, emergency and medical information prior to the start of the new school year. The system will also allow families to electronically sign the annual permission forms.

In short, this online process replaces all the hard copy student registration and permission forms that parents would generally have to fill out prior to starting the school year. Online registration will open July 10, 2013, for new and returning students to the district.

"We have heard from parents stating the annual school registration process is cumbersome," said WCS Instructional Technology Coordinator Belinda Moss. "Parents of several school aged students have expressed further frustration with repetition of information. The new electronic format will save families time, greatly reduce duplication of information and provide access on demand to meet the needs of busy families."

Parents who do not readily have access to the internet can contact their child’s school in July and make an appointment to use a school computer to complete the process. If you have any further questions, please contact the school office.
