WCS Teams Claim State Titles

The last few weeks have huge for Williamson County Schools athletics as four WCS teams won state championships.

RHS Volleyball

The Ravenwood High School volleyball team won its third straight Class AAA title October 26. The Lady Raptors rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Brentwood for the championship which was held at Middle Tennessee State University.

BHS Girls Soccer

The Brentwood High School girls soccer team defeated Siegel 1-0 in the Class AAA girls soccer final. Meg Howard scored the winning goal to give the Lady Bruins their first state championship since 1997.

BHS Boys Cross Country

The Brentwood High School boys cross country team repeated as Class AAA state champs Saturday at Percy Warner Park's Steeplechase Course. They scored 52 points, winning the team title by nine.

RHS Girls Cross Country

The Ravenwood High School girls cross country team also repeated as Class AAA state champs. They scored 90 points to win the girls team title by 59.
