A Williamson County student with a passion for healthy living recently took her message to state lawmakers on Capitol Hill. Page High School Student Alexandra Wallace traveled to Nashville March 13 while participating in the Tennessee Obesity Taskforce's Day on the Hill.
As the reigning 2013 Miss Mountain Lakes Outstanding Teen, Wallace is also an advocate for the Tennessee Obesity Taskforce. While attending the March 13 session of the Tennessee Senate Government Operations committee, Wallace was invited to come forward out of the audience and discuss her mission.
Wallace spoke about the obesity epidemic in America and asked legislators to support healthy living initiatives such as Coordinated School Health.
