WCS Student Documentary to Air on National TV

Published March 21, 2013

Two Williamson County students will soon get the thrill of watching their own documentary air on national television. Ravenwood High School students Aaron Mirtes and Chaz Olivier recently produced a documentary for C-SPAN's 2013 StudentCam competition.

The competition required students to produce a documentary about an important issue the President should address in his next term. Aaron and Chaz's video titled In Sickness and in Healthcare was named one of eight third place winners out of more than 2,000 entries nationwide. The two students won a prize of $750 and their documentary will air on C-SPAN at Saturday, April 6 at 5:50 a.m.

"We're so thrilled with the recognition," said Aaron. "We worked endless hours on the documentary and we're so glad it turned out well."
