Renovations included increasing the electrical capacity of the school, replacement of floor tile in common areas and corridors, renovations to the administrative office, adding new doors and hardware throughout the interior of the building, installation of lighting controls to assist in reducing power consumption, replacement of restroom fixtures, updating the fire alarm system and installing a new curtain for the auditorium. In addition, new classroom lockers are set to be installed later this month.
Northeast High School
Progress is also being made in regards to the purchase of land for a new high school in the northeastern portion of Williamson County. The district is in talks to buy a 100-acre tract of land located at the northeast corner of York and Nolensville roads. Surveyors are currently working on the legal description for the land.
The district plans to purchase 75 acres now with the option of purchasing the remaining 25 within the next four years.
