WCS Budget Update

The budget process continues for Williamson County Schools. In March, the Board of Education adopted budgets for the 2013-14 school year.

The Board approved a General Purpose School Fund Budget of $260,658,669; a Central Cafeteria Fund Budget of $11,084,482; an Extended School Program Fund Budget of $1,826,298; and a budget request of $7,041,319 for capital needs.

The budgets will be reviewed by the budget and education committees of the Williamson County Commission before being presented to the full Commission in July. Below is the remaining timeline for the budget process.

  • Monday, April 22 at 5:30 p.m. County Commission Education Meeting to Review 2013-14 Budget (Second Review). This meeting will be held in the Administrative Complex Auditorium.
  • Tuesday, May 7 at 3:30 p.m. County Commission Budget Committee Meeting (Second Review) of the 2013-14 Budget. This meeting will be held in the Administrative Complex Auditorium.
  • Tuesday, June 11 at 5:30 p.m. Public hearing of WCS and other county department budgets. This meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Williamson County Government Administrative Complex.
  • Monday, July 8 at 9 a.m. County Commission meets to approve all budgets including WCS budget. This meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Williamson County Government Administrative Complex.
