WCS Athletes Earn State Titles

Several Williamson County schools will add some new hardware to their trophy case after winning state titles at this year's TSSAA Spring Fling.

From tennis to track, Williamson County athletes made their presence felt at the annual high school state championships in Murfreesboro. Below is a list of some of the teams and athletes that won state titles.

Soccer

Franklin High Boys: Won the Class AAA state championship by defeating Farragut 3-1.

 

Tennis

Brentwood High Boys: 1st in Team Class AAA

 

Will Jayne and Michael Arguello, Brentwood High:

1st in Boys Doubles Class AAA

 

Maxx Lipman, Brentwood High:

1st in Boys Singles Class AAA- Maxx Lipman

Ravenwood High Girls: 1st in Class AAA team

 

Track

Rachel Jantzi, Brentwood High:

1st in Girls Long Jump Outdoor Pentathlon

Centennial High Boys:

1st in Men D-I AAA Team Ranking -1 Events Scored

 

Chaz Hawkins, Centennial High:

1st in Event 38 Decathlon D-I AAA

1st in Boys Event 38 Decathlon: #1 Boys 100 Meter Dash D-I AAA Decathlon

1st in Event 38 Decathlon: #4 Boys Triple Jump D-I AAA Decathlon

1st in Event 38 Decathlon: #5 Boys 400 Meter Dash D-I AAA Decathlon

1st in Event 38 Decathlon: #7 Boys Long Jump D-I AAA Decathlon

1st in Event 38 Decathlon: #10 Boys 1500 Meter Run D-I AAA Decathlon

 

Deondre Moore, Fairview High:

1st in Boys Triple Jump D-I A-AA

Independence Boys:

1st in Boys 4x400 Meter Relay D-I AAA. They finished in 3:19:13.

Austin Billings, Independence High:

1st in Event 38 Decathlon: #6 Boys 110 Meter Hurdles D-I AAA Decathlon

1st in Event 38 Decathlon:#9 Boys Shot Put D-I AAA Decathlon

Lizzy Kroeger, Independence High:

1st in Girls 1600 Meter Run D-I AAA

 

Finis Stribling, Independence High:

1st in Boys 400 Meter Dash D-I AAA- Finished in 48.01

Zach Gilroy, Ravenwood High:

1st in Event 38 Decathlon: #2 Boys Pole Vault D-I AAA Decathlon

1st in Event 38 Decathlon: #3 Boys Discus Throw D-I AAA Decathlon
