WCS Announces Gold Tray Award Winner

The College Grove Elementary School Cafeteria has been awarded the WCS Food Service Gold Tray Award for the 2012-13 school year. This award will be given each year to a cafeteria staff that demonstrates excellence in the workplace.

Pam Cothern has been the cafeteria manager at the College Grove for 19 years. Working alongside Pam is Lisa Brannon, who is in her first year with the district. Together, they serve over 1,000 meals per week. By the end of the school year, they will have served more than 35,000 meals.

"We are very proud of Pam and Lisa's contribution to the Food Service Department and for the wonderful example they set for both seasoned and blossoming cafeteria managers and staff," said Food Service Director James Remete. "Pam and Lisa always strive to offer the best service they can to the students of College Grove Elementary School."

The Gold Tray Award will hang on the wall in the College Grove cafeteria until next year's winner is announced.
