Walk Across Williamson Winners Announced

More than 2,500 WCS parents, students and staff members made an effort to improve their health this year by participating in the Williamson County Health Council's Walk Across Williamson challenge. The winners were announced last month at a celebration event.
From Williamson County schools, there were over 2,500 participants from 25 different schools. These team members logged more than five million minutes of activity during the month of March.
Schools with over 5,000 minutes of activity will receive mini-grants ranging from $100 to $2,500. More than $16,000 in mini-grants will be awarded from the Williamson County Schools office of Coordinated School Health. These grants will go to support each school’s health plan goals.
