Published May 3, 2013
The top volunteers of Williamson County Schools were honored April 23 at the annual Shining Apple Awards ceremony in Franklin. Honorees in each of the district's 41 schools were recognized for their service to the students of Williamson County. The event was sponsored by the Williamson County YMCA Fun Company and the Williamson County Board of Education.
"We are so grateful for the service our volunteers provide to our students and schools," said Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. "The Shining Apple Awards is a wonderful way to hear a sampling of what our volunteers contribute day in and day out and a way for us to say thank you."
