Students Impress at Golf Invitational

Looks like it's going to be another great year for middle school golf!  The Spencer Creek Middle School Open Golf Invitational was held July 31 through August 2 at Spencer Creek in Franklin.

Brentwood Middle School sixth grader Trenton Johnson finished in first place after carding a 65.  Grassland Middle School seventh grader Michael Shears came in second, followed by GMS eighth grader Paul Swindell and Brentwood Middle sixth grader Drew Howard.

On the girls side, Sunset Middle School's Ann Catherine Blackburn was first runner-up.

The middle school season starts August 21 and runs through October 4 at Spencer Creek Golf Course.  The Mayor's Cup Championship will be held September 11 and 13.
