Student Spotlight Awards are given to Williamson County students who placed first in state or national competitions. Each Student Spotlight award winner is recognized before the School Board at its monthly meeting. Listed below are the district's Student Spotlight Award winners for the month of June.
BHS Student Wins First on National Spanish Exam
Brentwood High School student Maria Cerrato earned first place in Spanish III Bilingual on the National Spanish Exam, an assessment used to measure proficiency of students studying Spanish as a second language. Her teacher is Ron Thompson.

Brentwood High School's Maxx Lipman won the TSSAA State Boys Tennis Single Championships. His coach is Bill Jayne.
BHS Tennis Team Wins State Championship
Brentwood High’s Boys Tennis team of Maxx Lipman, Michael Arguello, Will Jayne, Nick Fauchet, Danny Hester and Elliott McClure won the TSSAA State Championship. Their coach is Bill Jayne.
Brentwood High Claims Tennis Doubles Championship
Michael Arguello and Will Jayne of Brentwood High’s Boys Tennis team won the TSSAA State Boys Tennis Doubles. Their coach is Bill Jayne.
Centennial Student Wins State Decathlon
Chaz Hawkins of Centennial High won the TSSAA State Decathlon Championship, an award given to the competitor with the highest combined score from ten separate track events. His coaches are Shawn Carter and Tony Raye.
Fairview High Student Wins State Championship
Fairview High School's Deondre Moore won the TSSAA State Track and Field Championship in the Triple Jump competition. Terry Edmondson is his coach.
Page High FFA Team Wins State Championship
Savannah Yonge, Miranda Groves, Abbey Schnedler and Ana Adams won the FFA State Championship in Veterinary Science. The FFA, or Future Farmers of America, is a student organization with aims of promoting agricultural education. Their teacher is Jessica Hartle.
Ravenwood Tennis Team Wins State Title
Ravenwood High’s Kelly Rains, Tinsley Hastings, Emily Wiseman, Taylor Briggs, Iris Hao, Katie Fitt, Vivian Hao, Angel Asirvathium and Jacqueline Curtsinger won the TSSAA State Championship fro Girls Tennis. Their coach is Robbie McCammon.
