School Board to Vote on Power Mondays

The Williamson County School Board will vote at its June 17 meeting whether or not to approve Power Mondays (also known as Late Start Days) for middle and high school during the 2013-14 school year.

Power Mondays allows teachers an opportunity to work together to develop strategies for instructing students. Although classes begin 45 minutes later than usual on these days, buses will continue to run at their regular times. Students arriving to school early will have the benefit of choosing from several supervised activities.

If approved, all Williamson County middle and high schools will observe Late Start Days on the following days throughout the 2013-14 school year:

August 19, August 26

September 9, September 16, September 23, September 30

October 21, October 28

November 18

December 2, December 9

January 13, January 27

February 3, February 10, February 24

March 3, March 10, March 31

April 7, April 21, April 28
