The purpose of this section is to answer any questions parents, teachers or community members might have regarding the school district and to set the record straight in regards to any rumors that might be circulating.

If you have a question or have heard a rumor that you would like for us to address, simply SEND US your questions and we will respond to them in upcoming issues of IN FOCUS. Below are some of the questions we received since our last issue.

I'm trying to make plans for next summer's vacation. When will we know the district calendar for the 2013-14 school year?

According to Williamson County School Board Policy 1.800, the Williamson County Board of Education will adopt, upon the recommendation of the Director of Schools, an official school calendar for the succeeding school year.

The calendar will identify holidays and/or vacation days for students and employees for that year. The calendar may be revised by the Board upon recommendation of the Director of Schools due to inclement weather or other factors which may interrupt the implementation of said calendar.

According to the School Board's annual agenda, a calendar should be adopted in January. Once a calendar has been adopted we will publish it in IN FOCUS and post it on the district website.
