The purpose of this section is to answer any questions parents, teachers or community members might have regarding the school district and to set the record straight in regards to any rumors that might be circulating. 

If you have a question or have heard a rumor that you would like for us to address, simply SEND US your questions and we will respond to them in upcoming issues of IN FOCUS.  Below are some of the questions we received since our last issue.

What's the latest on Parent Portal?  Is it working yet?

We have been told that Pearson, the company that operates Parent Portal, is still working through its issues with the system.

In the meantime, parents can access their child's information by going to http://wcs.schoolnet.com.  There are several troubleshooting solutions on that page.

Once parents have logged in, they must select the link that reads Click here to access your students daily grades, attendance, discipline and assignments.  After they select the link, parents will be prompted to log in again using the same username and password.

This will take parents to ParentConnection.  This short term solution should provide access for all of our families.
