RHS Senior Wins $20,000 Fashion Design Scholarship

Move over, Versace! There's a new fashionista in town. Ravenwood High School Senior Jayce Arnette is turning heads with her latest designs.

Arnette was recently given a $20,000 scholarship to attend North Carolina State University. In addition, she will receive a $7,500 travel abroad stipend for fashion and a freshman internship with a fashion company in North Carolina.

Arnette is one of several students in Sabrina Maggert's fashion design program at Ravenwood High School who has received fashion design scholarships in recent years.

"This is the third Ravenwood student who has gotten into the program at NC State in five years," said Maggert. "They only accept 16 entry candidates in their program each year. This is the biggest scholarship I have heard of for a student of mine."
