Daniel Widjaja has been hired as the new District Webmaster for Williamson County Schools. He is replacing Janie Wells who retired in June after 29 years with the district.
Widjaja has earned two Masters Degrees in Management and in Computer Science. During the last six years, he worked at Vanderbilt University where he designed database systems, web applications and assisted in web design for the Biomedical Research Department, Center for Molecular Neuroscience as well as other departments within Vanderbilt.
In addition, Widjaja has valuable experience in web applications and design using HTML, HTML5, XHTML, CSS Java Script, JQuery and PHP. He is also proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver as well as several database systems and computer languages.
As he settles into his new position, Widjaja will begin looking at ways WCS can improve both the district website and the individual school websites.
“We are very excited to have Daniel here at Williamson County Schools," said WCS Network Manager Phil Folmar. "With his unique blend of experience and qualifications, we believe he will help move the district forward by utilizing leading edge technologies intended to optimize processes and deliver relevant content to students, staff, parents and the community.”
