New Assistant Principals, New Superintendent of HR Announced

WCS Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

Lee Anne Bruce Boone has been named Williamson County Schools new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. Boone replaces Judith Looney who retired January 17.

Boone most recently served as Assistant Commissioner in the State Department of Human Services, but says she's excited to begin her new role with the district.

"I look forward to serving all the staff within Williamson County Schools, knowing that working to better our team ultimately serves the community," said Boone. "I can already see the passion our leadership has for the vision for Williamson County Schools, and I welcome the opportunity to work in such a dynamic education environment."

Boone received her Bachelor's degree in political science from Carson Newman College, her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law and her Master's degree in civic leadership from Lipscomb University. She will begin her duties February 1.

Ravenwood High Assistant Principal

Ravenwood High School Chemistry Teacher Amy Maffei has been named assistant principal at RHS in Brentwood. Maffei replaces Leigh Webb who is the new principal at Centennial High.

With more than 12 years of experience in the classroom, Maffei says she's excited for the opportunity to serve the Ravenwood community in her new role.

"I know firsthand how well the administration, faculty and staff at Ravenwood work collaboratively," said Maffei. "I am anticipating a seamless transition to continue our hard work together for further student success."

Maffei received her Bachelor's degree in secondary education from the University of Dayton, Ohio and her Master's in education administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Winstead Elementary Assistant Principal

Longview Elementary School Assistant Principal Christy Serpas will serve as the new assistant principal at Winstead Elementary in Franklin. She will fill the role previously occupied by Kathy Wells who is the school's new principal.

Serpas began working for Williamson County Schools in 1998 and has served as assistant principal at Longview since 2011. She says she feels blessed to have the opportunity to work at another high quality school.

"Winstead has a long standing reputation for having wonderful students, phenomenal teachers and a supportive community behind it," said Serpas. "I am so excited to be a new Wildcat and a part of their continued success and growth."

Serpas holds both a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's in Education from Middle Tennessee State University.

Longview Elementary Assistant Principal

Bronwyn Rector will replace Serpas as assistant principal at Longview Elementary School in Spring Hill. Rector has served as a school psychologist in Williamson County since 1999.

She received her Bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and her Master's degree in education from Tusculum College.

Rector says she's honored to be a part of Longview Elementary School where parents and teachers partner to promote student success.

"My hope is to build relationships, foster development of students’ personal best and help provide an optimal educational experience," said Rector. "I look forward to working with Dr. Ullrich and parents to help make Longview a great place for students to learn and grow."
