Fairview Middle School Serving Area Gets a Makeover

Visitors to Fairview Middle School will notice a big change to the school's cafeteria. Over the Winter Break, crews gave the serving area a complete makeover.
In addition to painting the walls, workers replaced the school's 30 year-old walk-in refrigerators, installed a new steam cooker and replaced the serving lines.
WCS Food Service Director James Remete says the transformation will allow the school to be more energy efficient and create a more pleasant atmosphere for both the staff and students.
"We're getting away from the institutionalized look," said Remete. "We want to be able to make it a kid friendly environment and we think this is a good step in that direction."
