Brentwood Donates Money to Schools

Published August 16, 2012

In a show of support to area schools, the Brentwood City Commission recently distributed $216,000 to parent teacher organizations that serve Brentwood residents.  It all took place August 13 at the City Commission meeting.

Commissioner Betsy Crossley says the distribution of funds to area schools has become a tradition in Brentwood and that the city has handed out approximately $3.5 million to public schools since the mid-80's.

"Brentwood residents value education in our community," said Crossley.  "This is to show an appreciation for our schools and to provide an extra edge to make schools more excellent than they already are.  Our schools are A+ schools and this helps them to continue striving toward their goal of A++."

The majority of principals say the money will go toward technology.  Below is a list of Williamson County schools that received money from the Brentwood City Commission.
