Woodland Middle School Student Wins County Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Woodland Middle School Student Patrick Fallon for winning the Williamson County Spelling Bee. Patrick will represent WCS March 20 at the Regional Spelling Bee at Middle Tennessee State University.

Fairview Middle Students Selected to the 2013 Middle TN State Honors Choir

Seven Fairview Middle School students have been accepted into the 2013 Tennessee Middle School Honors Choir. Students from all over the state audition to be a part of this group.

The students had to sing My Country Tis of Thee and a difficult Latin selection Cantate Domino during the audition process. Below are the students from Fairview Middle who were chosen for this prestigious honor.

Franklin High Students Participate in Linguistic Olympiad Competition

Franklin High had a strong showing at MTSU's annual Linguistic Olympiad competition. The nearly three hour competition consisted of 12 problems in a variety of different languages and formats. Three teams from FHS competed in this year's event.

Hana Aleryani, Rachel Schultz, Tianrui Dong and Anna Wyer achieved an Honorable Mention placement.

Lauren Souter, Laura Bentley, Hannah White and Rachel Boatwright placed second overall.

Matthew Rutledge, Kenzie Bottoms, Andie Fisher and Jon McClung won first place overall in the competition.

Independence High Students Advance to HOSA State Conference

Congratulations to the regional HOSA Competitive Events winners from Page High School. Approximately 35 students from PHS will compete at the HOSA State Leadership Conference March 4-6. HOSA is a National student led Career and Technical Student Organization, (CTSO) for those wishing to enter the health care field.

Sunset Middle School Swim Team Places 2nd in Championship Meet

The Sunset Middle School Swim Team capped off a successful season by finishing second overall at the Middle Tennessee Middle School Swimming and Diving Championships.

The girls came in third place and the boys finished twelfth out of 39 teams. The girls relay team came in second in both the 200 and 400 free relays, and the boys relay team placed fifth in the 400 free relay and eighth in the 200 free relay.
