Youth in Government Conference

Dozens of Williamson County students were recently honored with awards at the annual YMCA Youth in Government Conference in Nashville. They were among the more than 800 Tennessee teens who gathered at the State Capitol April 12-15 for the mock government session. Now in its 59th year, the YMCA Youth in Government Conference gives students hand-on experience with state government.
Below is a list of the Williamson County students who were recognized at this year's conference.

RHB/12-3-21, An act to create a safer driving environment and prevent repeat offenses of impaired driving, Megan Wood and Adam Wright, Franklin High School. 1. BHB/12-4-12, An act to require CPR and other medical emergency procedures for all teachers in the state of TN, Rebecca Johnston and Leta Yi, Centennial High School. 2. BHB/12-3-7, An act to require drug screening for the citizens of TN receiving state level cash assistance, Aditya Shah and Austin Smith, Centennial High School. 1.
