Winstead Unveils New Walking Track

Published May 24, 2012

Students at Winstead Elementary School will have a new, safer way to exercise when they return to school in August.

Winstead unveiled its brand new walking track earlier this month.  The track was built using money raised at this year's Wildcat Walk-a-thon.

Principal Connie Kinder joined PTO President Christine Frost, Walk-a-thon Coordinator Lara Hunsberger and Winstead Parent Craig Bradford for the ribbon cutting ceremony May 7.The walking track will be used by the school's Run Club and during PE class.  Officials say they hope it will encourage more students to stay active and healthy by getting plenty of exercise.
