Published April 26, 2012

Williamson County Schools unveiled its brand new BYOT logo April 25.

The logo will be used by the school district to promote its Bring Your Own Technology initiative, which allows students to bring personal digital devices like laptops, iPads and smart phones to school.

The program was piloted this year in four high schools and will be expanded to the entire district in grades three through twelve beginning with the 2012-13 school year.
Franklin High School sophomore Rachel Fowke created the logo as part of a contest among high school students. On April 25, Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney honored Fowke and her graphic design teacher, Melissa Estes, during a special BYOT meeting in Franklin.
