Spring Station Receives Free School Supplies

Published December 1, 2011

Students in Amy Smith's eighth grade class at Spring Station Middle School were surprised last month when they were presented with $1,000 worth of school supplies.  The items were donated by a local company called JD, LLC that specializes in the sale and imports of school supplies.

JD, LLC participated and sponsored this year's World of Possibilities Career Fair.  Students who visited the company's booth at the fair were told about a contest in which students were asked to go online and vote for their favorite teacher.

Amy Smith's students responded and she was named the winner of the contest.  On November 18, the company delivered hundreds of folders, notepads and other supplies to her classroom.
