SACC Enrichment Clubs
Published October 13, 2011
As an ongoing effort to help Williamson County Schools fulfill its mission of becoming a district recognized nationally for students who excel in academics, the arts, and athletics, the WCS School Aged Child Care (SACC) Program is excited to announce the launch of B.A.S.E Clubs this fall. B.A.S.E. stands for Before and After School Enrichment clubs.
B.A.S.E will launch at six elementary schools later this month. They include Clovercroft, Crockett, Heritage, Kenrose, Oak View and Trinity. Students who attend the SACC Program at these schools will get to choose from a variety of B.A.S.E clubs including chess, martial arts, Lego, art, cooking, cheerleading, sign language, basketball, Irish step dancing, music, Spanish, reader’s theater and book clubs. More B.A.S.E. clubs will be offered along with the addition of more schools in Spring 2012.
"The idea of enrichment programming and clubs developed last year," said WCS SACC Coordinator Leslie Weaver. "We are excited to launch B.A.S.E clubs and provide enrichment opportunities to children who attend Williamson County schools."
