Is there any truth to the rumor that Williamson County Schools will undergo district-wide rezoning anytime soon?
No rezoning has been recommended for the 2012-13 school year.
I would like to know when and where the new high school in Nolensville is being built.
According to the district's Five Year Capital Outlay Plan, a new high school is scheduled to open in the northeastern part of the county in the summer of 2015; however a site has not been chosen. This plan is reviewed annually by both the Board of Education and the County Commission and is subject to change each year.
Does Williamson County Schools offer a Driver's Ed course during the summer? If so, how do we sign up our child?
Drivers ed courses are offered during the summer in Williamson County. A student should talk to his or her school's driver's ed instructor to schedule summer driving.
My seventh grade son came home yesterday very upset and agitated. He said his teachers told them if they did not make "Advanced" on all of the TCAP tests that they would have to attend summer school at a cost of $300. Please calm our fears and tell us this is NOT the case with the summer school issue.
Summer school is only for eighth graders who fail a core course, like social studies, and who also score below a 70 on the TCAP. The cost for summer school is $250.
If you take Spanish I Honors for high-school credit in eighth grade, will you be given the option to switch to another foreign language your freshmen year?
Yes. Students are allowed to switch to another language.
