Parent Survey

Williamson County Schools will conduct a telephone survey tonight of parents.  As you may know, WCS is expanding the Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) initiative to all schools next fall for students in grades three through twelve.  The purpose of the survey is to gauge initial interest and intent to participate in this voluntary program.  The district hopes parents will participate in this survey.  For more information about BYOT, you can read the following LETTER TO PARENTS from Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney or watch this VIDEO.  The survey call will be as below.

Hello Williamson County Schools parents. This is Carol Birdsong, communications director calling with a survey about the expansion of the Bring Your Own Technology initiative to all schools next fall for students in grades three through twelve.  Thank you for helping us gauge initial interest and intent to participate in this voluntary program.  Please listen to all of the choices as they have been changed for clarity and then select the best answer for your oldest child.  Please wait until you have heard all of the options before you make your selection or your input will not be recorded.  

If your child does not plan to bring a device to school, press 1.

If your child plans to bring a smart phone such as an iPhone, Android or Blackberry, press 2.

If your child plans to bring a tablet such as an iPad or Android tablet, press 3.

If your child plans to bring a laptop, press 4.

If your child plans to bring an e-reader such as a Kindle or Nook, press 5.
