Hot Shots Jump Rope Team Qualifies for Nationals

The Hot Shots Jump Rope team will compete this summer at the USA Jump Rope Nationals in California.  The team, which is comprised of children in grades two through six who attend either Hunters Bend Elementary or Grassland Middle, qualified for the competition March 31 at the USA Regional Tournament in Kentucky.

The following jumpers will compete in single rope speed, freestyle, double dutch speed and team show events: Hayley Welch, Mccallie Miller, Sydney Grace, Alexis Burgos, Allison Bumm, Rachel Calhoun, Kathryn Hallock, Jack Heimendinger, Cara Moyers, Ashley Vance, Sarah Harden, Jordan Kerrigan and Brooke Harden.

Members of the Hot Shots Jump Rope team must maintain a B in all subjects as well as exhibit a positive behavior at school.  Jumpers attend intensive summer camps as well as clinics and mini competitions throughout the year.  The USA Jump Rope Nationals will be held June 20-24 in Long Beach, California.
