Foreign Language Discussion continues

Representatives of the Chinese Confucius Institute located at the University of Memphis paid a visit to Williamson County Schools Wednesday. It’s all a part of an information gathering mission the district is conducting as it works toward starting a comprehensive foreign language program in the school district.
As part of the Williamson County Schools Strategic Plan, a goal is to develop and implement a world language curriculum at the elementary, middle and high school levels in order to increase fluency in foreign language. A committee of teachers and administrators from across the district has also been meeting in order to research and gather data before making a recommendation to the School Board.
No language has been selected at this time.
