Published May 24, 2012

The results are in from this year's Technology Student Association’s STEM competition, called TEAMS, and as it turns out, the students from Brentwood High School placed fifth in the nation. Those students include Joyce Kang, Philip Ooi, Austin Southard-Smith, Lisa Qu, Kimberly Eddleman, Akash Oza, Nisha Bhuva and James Dai.

TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science) is an annual high school competition that challenges students to work collaboratively as they apply their math and science knowledge in practical, creative ways to solve real everyday engineering problems. Engaging in the challenges requires critical job-readiness skills such as teamwork, analytical thinking, and multi-dimensional problem-solving.
