FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL 

FHS Marching Band:  The Franklin High School Marching Band participated in the Bands of America Grand National Competition at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.  Ninety-two of the best marching bands in the country performed in the three-day competition.  This is the first time that the Franklin Band has competed in this event.

PAGE HIGH SCHOOL 

Kenzie Stephens:  Page High School student Kenzie Stephens was recently chosen to participate in the 2012 American High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall.  She will be a part of the Honors Choir as an Alto I

Participation in the Honors Orchestra, Honors Band and Honors Choir is limited to the highest rated high school performers from across North America and select international schools.

 

PAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL 

Dylan Phillips:  Page Middle School student Dylan Phillips has been chosen to participate in the 2012 Junior Academic All-American Game.  The football game will be held January 2 in Phoenix, Arizona, and will feature many of the top junior high school student athletes from around the country. 

 

 

PEARRE CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 

Rita Sophia:  Pearre Creek Elementary School third grader Rita Sophia recently won two State titles in gymnastics.  Rita took first place on vault and tied for first place in the all-around competition at the level 4 TN State gymnastics meet.

 

SUNSET MIDDLE SCHOOL 

Forensics Team:  The Sunset Middle School Forensics team brought home the sixth place trophy at the Junior Classic tournament at Western Kentucky University.  Over 200 middle school students from 11 schools competed in this battle of oral presentations.  All 15 of Sunset’s participants did an outstanding job with five making it to the final round of competition.  These five included Preston Johnson, Sudeep Ghantasala, Drew Taylor, Prateek Konakalla and Tejas Manohar, who finished first in Public Speaking.
