CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL 
CHS Marching Band:  The Centennial High School Marching Band participated in the United States Scholastic Bands Association (USSBA) Tennessee State Championships at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN.  With an overall score of 92.2, the Cougars were awarded State Champions for their class, which is Group IV Open.

CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL 
CHS Volleyball All District & Tournament Team:  The Centennial High School Volleyball Team had several players who were named to the All District and All Tournament teams.  They include Cassidy Horvath (1st Team All District), Taylor Lowe (All District Honorable Mention), Maddie Earp (All Tournament Team and 1st Team All District) and Caroline Hyde (All District Tournament Team).

EDMONDSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 
Edmondson Chess Club:  Edmondson Elementary School Chess Club members Launna Atkinson, Dustin Bluhm, Parker Kasiewicz and Nelson Rose recently won a team trophy after finishing in fourth place at a USN Halloween Chess Tournament.

INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL 
IHS Declaration Singers:  The Declaration Singers won the Sweepstake Championship Award at the Music Festivals Show Case Music Competition last May.  This places the Declaration Singers first out of 52 other schools that competed.  In addition, the Declaration Singers recently performed at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in support of the Nashville Glee Angel Tree organization.

 

PAGE HIGH SCHOOL 
PHS Marching Band:  The Fred J. Page Marching Band has won several awards in recent weeks.  The band received first place at the United States Scholastic Band Association contest at Tennessee Tech.  The band also picked up the awards for Best Percussion, Best Music and Best Visual in their class at the event.  On November 5, the band was named Reserve Grand Champion of the Tennessee Division II State Marching Band Championship at Independence High School.  The band also received the award for Best Overall Color Guard.

 

RAVENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL 

Stanley Xiang and Gene Li:  Ravenwood High School students Stanley Xiang and Gene Li tied for first place in Algebra II at the Nashville Interscholastic Mathematics Contest.  The event was held November 3 at Pope John Paul II High School.
