Winstead Teacher Honored by Radio Station

Congratulations to Winstead Elementary School third grade teacher Leslea Hood. She was recently named the 107.5 The River and Downtown Nashville Nissan's Teacher of the Week.

Hood was selected based on a submission from one of her students which outlined her great teaching skills and her dedication to children. As part of the award, she will receive $100 for her classroom and $100 for Winstead Elementary.

Hood says it's exciting to know she's making a real difference in the lives of her students.

"I feel honored to be recognized for doing something that I love," said Hood. "I enjoy working with children and knowing that I can have a positive impact on their lives."

Hood has been entered into the end-of-the-year award drawing to win a one year lease on a 2011 Nissan Maxima and $1,000 for Winstead Elementary.
