Superintendent Meets with PTO Presidents

Published March 17, 2011

Williamson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney met with parent organization presidents and principals March 10.

Some of the topics that came up for discussion included the district's seven year Strategic Plan, an update on school construction and volunteer procedures.

Also included in the meeting was a group discussion regarding the district budget. Looney told the parent leaders that deep cuts will have to be made if the district's approximately $239 million budget is not fully funded.

Looney meets with PTO Presidents from each school once a semester and says the meetings offer a great opportunity to address many of the concerns and questions parents might have. Parent leaders are encouraged to take notes and share information learned with their school communities.
