Students Collect Food for Needy

Published September 16, 2010

A recent battle between high schools will benefit hundreds of local families.  Students at Centennial and Franklin high schools competed in their annual Canned Food Drive. Centennial High won the competition, collecting over 11,000 canned goods.  Centennial was presented with a trophy during halftime of the football game with Franklin.

Other high schools across the district took part in similar competitions.  The donated items will be given to a local organization and distributed to families in need.
