The purpose of this section is to answer any questions parents, teachers or community members might have regarding the school district and to set the record straight in regards to any rumors that might be circulating.  If you have a question or have heard a rumor that you would like for us to address, simply SEND US your questions and we will respond to them in upcoming issues of IN FOCUS.  Below are some of the questions we received since our last newsletter.

I have noticed that students at Franklin High School are allowed to eat their lunch on the floor in the hallways.  Why is this?  Does the cafeteria not have enough seating?  Is this allowed by the health and fire departments?

Franklin High School students are allowed to eat in many locations in the building including the cafeteria, classrooms, picnic area out back, and hallways.  Members of the Fire Department have been guests for lunch on many occasions.  The State Fire Marshall and the Health Department have been in during lunch as well.  In addition to eating lunch, students use this time to get academic help.  Students are careful to pick up after themselves and make sure the hallways are not trashed because they do not want to lose this privilege.
