Where does the Williamson County stand on its "grandfathering" policy? I have heard rumors that it was being thrown out. How will that affect my daughter who is a rising junior at Ravenwood and has been rezoned to Centennial.
Board Policy 1.703 governs zoning questions and includes grandfathering provisions. Rising fifth graders, rising eighth graders, rising juniors and rising seniors who have been rezoned may be grandfathered to continue in their current school. Because your daughter is a rising junior, she may remain at Ravenwood for her senior year; however you will need to complete the necessary paperwork before May 15 which will be made available in January. Also, parents are responsible for transportation to that school. Select this LINK to view Board Policy 1.703 in its entirety.
