Rezoning Information

Published August 4, 2010

Williamson County Schools is going through  a district-wide rezoning process this fall.  The WCS Board of Education contracted with the makers of the bus transportation and boundary planning software, Edulog, to start from scratch and create the most efficient bus transportation zone lines for each school in the district.  Through this process, the district hopes to better utilize the current school buildings since some areas in the county are over-capacity while others are under-capacity.

In addition, WCS staff members have been trained to use the new Boundary Optimization software.  In mid-to-late September, public meetings will be held to share the company's work with parents and the community.  Dates, times and locations will be announced in future issues of IN FOCUS.  No transportation zone lines would be affected for the 2010-2011 school year.
