Three Williamson County schools are listed among the top high schools in the nation according to Newsweek magazine's annual report. Brentwood High, Ravenwood High and Page High all made the list of America's Best High Schools.
Newsweek used several criteria to determine the rankings including the number of Advanced Placement exams administered versus the number of graduating seniors, graduation rates, immediate college enrollment, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate test scores, and ACT and SAT college entrance exam scores.
Williamson County schools account for half of the six Tennessee high schools to appear on this year's list. According to Newsweek, Brentwood High School is ranked 100 (up from #218 in 2010), Ravenwood High is ranked 284 (up from #489 in 2010) and Page High - which did not make the list last year - is ranked 494.
