Published December 16, 2010

Students at Longview Elementary School will soon notice a new face in the hallways.  Christy Serpas was recently named the school's new assistant principal.  Serpas was chosen to fill the position previously held by Katherine Lillard, who was named principal of College Grove Elementary School earlier this month.

Serpas began working for Williamson County Schools in 1998 and has taught at several schools including Page Middle, Heritage Middle and Spring Station Middle.

She also worked as a system-wide teacher mentor for two years.  Serpas holds both a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's in Education from Middle Tennessee State University.

Hillsboro School Assistant Principal Alicia Justice.

Alicia Justice was recently named assistant principal at Hillsboro School.  Justice replaces Jim Leckrone who left the district to serve as principal of a new charter school in Nashville.

Justice began working for Williamson County Schools in 2003 and taught for several years at Independence High School.  In 2009, Justice was named the high school level Teacher of the Year for Williamson County Schools.

She holds both a Bachelor's in Health and Human Performance and a Master's in Education from Middle Tennessee State University.

Chapman's Retreat Assistant Principal Jill Justus.

Veteran educator Jill Justus was named assistant principal at Chapman's Retreat Elementary School earlier this semester.  It's a position Justus has held since former assistant principal Allison Hammat began serving as the school's principal.

After teaching in Marshall County for several years, Justus moved to Williamson County in 2002 and began teaching at Heritage Elementary.

Justus taught fourth grade at Chapman's Retreat for six years before working as a system-wide teacher mentor in 2009.  She received a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 1997 and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2009.
