Name the District's New Elementary School

Williamson County teachers and curriculum specialists have been working on revising the district’s Common Comprehensive Examinations (CCEs) in specific courses in math, science, social studies, English, and world languages throughout the fall. In addition, CCEs in some business and marketing courses were also revised since students enrolled in these courses can earn economics credit.
With the implementation of district scope and sequence documents, new CCEs were required in order to align the assessments with the new learning targets.
The Williamson County Board of Education has a policy requiring that CCEs be given in high school core academic subjects that are not assessed through a state End of Course Test.
Small groups of teachers of each course assessed met for two days in the fall to develop a bank of assessment items aligned with the district’s scope and sequence. Curriculum specialists then selected items from the bank to develop a balanced assessment. In some cases items were added by the content area curriculum specialist if teachers had not had enough time to develop items for all learning targets in the scope and sequence.
All teachers of the CCE courses were then invited to review the examinations at the district office November 29 and 30. Approximately 100 teachers attended and offered their professional input and constructive criticism on the items over the two day review. Curriculum specialists will make revisions based on the input received.
Students on block schedule who are completing a full credit and students taking semester courses, such as government and economics, will take the examinations in December. Students enrolled in full year courses will take the CCEs in May.
