High School Orientations

We're only a few weeks from the start of the 2011-12 school year. In order to help students prepare for the return to school, many Williamson County high schools are planning to hold orientation sessions. Below is a list of the dates and times for each school.
BRENTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
Due to construction at Brentwood High School, no dates for orientation are planned at this time.
CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL
The Cougar nation is ready to get the school year rolling. Freshman orientation will be held Thursday, August 4 from 8 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. A parent breakfast will also be held at that same time. In addition, each grade level will have the opportunity to purchase parking passes, tour the school and pick up their schedules. Below are the dates and times for each grade.

FAIRVIEW HIGH SCHOOL
Fairview High School will have orientation sessions for students in each grade beginning with seniors on Monday, August 1. Each event will give the students a chance to become familiar with the school and meet some of the staff before beginning the school year on August 11.

FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL
Franklin High School is ready to start another wonderful school year. The school's annual Rebel Round-Up will take place July 19-21 for incoming freshmen. The event is designed to prepare the newcomers for the start of their first year at FHS. This year's sessions will be held at different times according to gender.

INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL
Independence High School Info Days will begin Thursday, August 4. Info Days is a time for parents and students to visit the school and prepare for the upcoming year by receiving class schedules, textbooks, locker assignments and parking passes. In addition, ninth graders will have a Freshman Orientation on Wednesday, August 3 at 8 a.m.

MIDDLE COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL
During the month of July, counselors at Middle College High School will meet once a week with new students to prepare them for the upcoming school year. Rather than have a day of orientation for each grade level, administrators determined it would be best to meet in smaller groups. PAGE HIGH SCHOOL
Page High School will have several days set aside for students to visit the school in the coming weeks. On Friday, July 29, seniors who scored a 5 or 6 on their TCAP Writing Assessment will be able to purchase parking passes and pick up their planners from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The schedule for each grade level is listed below.

RAVENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
Red Letter Days at RHS are rapidly approaching. Students will have the opportunity to get organized for the 2011-2012 school year by getting their parking pass and locker assignment before the first day of school. In addition, there will be a Freshman Orientation August 3. Students should bring a white t-shirt and a one gallon zip lock bag in order to tie-dye their own shirts. Below are the dates and times for each event.

The district's newest high school will have two events in early August to help students prepare for the start of the upcoming school year. Since Summit High School will only have freshmen and sophomores for the first year, there will only be two sessions. The dates and times are listed below.
