Franklin High Wins Recycling Award
Published November 11, 2010
Students at Franklin High School are doing their part to help the environment. The school was honored recently for having one of Tennessee's top 10 school recycling programs. It's all part of the Good Sports Always Recycle statewide school recycling challenge.
In addition to being honored during halftime of this year's University of Tennessee-Alabama football game, Franklin High School will also receive $500 to enhance its recycling efforts. Each school that participated in the contest was judged on the impact their recycling program has on their community, their new and unique approaches to waste reduction and their overall environmental efforts.
